Mac Viewer is not working on my system. I am using OS Catalina 10.15, may be because of recent MAC OS Updates, additionally, the recorded videos does not fully compatible with other dashcam viewer (like GPS, map etc)..

FYI, if you have dark mode on your Mac, the config settings are unreadable (technically, it’s white text on a white background). You’ll have to switch to light mode in order for the config to work correctly (at least that’s what I had to do).
You can use the Security & Privacy control pane to allow the app to run. You will need to do the same when you try to watch video to allow ffmpeg to run.
I can’t play the videos via my SD card using the supplied USB stick. Instead, it saves the video I want in my Documents folder and does not load it up. Any ideas?
Dashcam View has stopped working on Mac, I also have deleted the old Dashcam viewer version and installed latest Dashcam viewer from the Thinkware site, still get error message – “Dashcam Viewer” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

This is ridiculous. Get this fixed ASAP! Our company has invested a lot of money in these cameras for our fleet. For them not to work with the current version of Apple OS shows some really poor customer service ugliness. Please provide a current update other than “we’re working on it” because clearly you aren’t.
I thought I was buying a high end product ,which I presumed would have great customer service and support..obviously supporting software for macs is not one of the priorities ..I would not recommend this product due to lack of support for Mac users unable to install viewing software!,,,,!!!!!!!!
I bought a Thinkware Dashcam because of their reputation and recommendations from friends and colleagues.
However, the lack of updates for the Mac Dashcam Viewer is seriously damaging Thinkware’s reputation. I am considering buying a new Dashcam, which would have been another Thinkware, but unless this issue is resolved soon, Thinkware has lost a loyal customer.

For those having trouble on your mac, try this. System preferences > Security & Privacy > On the bottom left, you’ll see a lock icon. Click it to allow changes, and enter password if needed. > On the bottom half of the displayed menu, it’ll say “allow apps downloaded from” with Thinkware listed there. > Click “Open anyways”. You’re welcome.
Romy Dogra and BigTJohn, please provide instructions again. I have tried to follow your directions listed above and there is no where that states, “allow apps downloaded from”. Thank you.
Today is 7/22/2020. I just downloaded and installed the latest Mac viewer Mac Viewer1.7.5 (2019-11-29). I am on the latest Mac OS operating system and my system is current. I get an error saying that Mac OS cannot check for malicious software when executing the .dmg file. If a support person claims this is fixed, they need to be terminated because this is incorrect. This needs to be fixed or the Thinkware dashcam goes in the garbage. Thanks.

From my experience you have to do this every single time you open which is very annoying.
Yes, it works!! You must be in the Files section of the displayed menu options.

Viewer doesn’t play videos, they show up in the menu but that’s it, Mac Mini M1, using 1.8.6
